005. Do not add me if you don't plan to read my entries. You don't have to comment on my entries all the time, but a comment once in a while is nice. Also I don't want to add people who do not post because .... I don't see the point.

006. Please type the word "sayaendou" if you want to be added. I don't want to add a person who has not read the rules because if you won't even take the time to read the rules, what are the chances you're actually going to read my journal. Any friend requests without that word will be ignored.

Fundraising Event Planning [x-posted on LJ]

My ~~friend~~ grandmother Yuki and I have thought about a fundraiser event for the Make-A Wish Foundation®. Basically they grant the wishes of the children who have life-threatening illnesses. Our fundraiser helps earn money for this charity who grants the wishes of these children and also grant our own wishes of having a maid/butler cafe in Toronto. Of course there is already a Maid Cafe in Toronto [I-Maid Cafe] but there are NO butler cafes! I doubt that someone will create one, so to fulfill our own wishes ~~of dressing like maids~~, [without having to actually form our own business] we opted for a one day fundraiser! If you think it's selfish, it's not! We really do care about these children. Well, for me, I really want to help the world in some way, shape or form. [It's on my "to-do before I die" list] I don't exactly see myself getting shipped off to a poverty stricken country in my future so why not help these children who may not have a long time to live.

In any case, these are the things we have planned out so far.

Name: Suggest a name for the event! We would like this to be as interactive as possible! The person who comes up with the name we choose will get a free 3 photos-set of the Maid/Butler of their choice.

Location: [still pending] It all depends on who is available and/or willing to give us a discount. Our current budget is $0. Does this mean we need a fundraiser for this fundraiser? Well hopefully we'll find sponsors who will donate money in order for us to host this event.

Date: To be announced. We are hoping for sometime in August. [Weekend before school starts!]

Times: In three 2 hour intervals. [ALL IN ONE DAY - people seem to be confused about that]
slot 1: 11:00AM - 01:00PM
slot 2: 02:00PM - 04:00PM
slot 3: 05:00PM - 07:00PM
*Open 30 minutes before and 20 minutes after the time slots.

Admission Price: $20.00CAD[advanced tickets] / $30.00CAD[at the door]
For those who are interested in an entire table, $90.00/table of 5.
The idea is that people are to purchase tickets/reserve spots for slot 1, slot 2 or slot 3.

Payment Method: Like Anime North, cheques should be sent to an address or through pay-pal. Whichever is more convenient. Once payment has been received, a confirmation e-mail will be sent and the customer must print it out or record down the confirmation number. [It will not follow a pattern so don't even try to make up something] The customer will then receive a ticket which will have a number that is automatically included in the raffle. The ticket can be a keepsake of this event.

Performance: In order for it to be more than just a place to drink tea + have snacks, we proposed to have entertainment. The entertainment would be consisted of the performance volunteers.
These are the songs I have in mind that would appeal to people.
-AKB48 - Seifuku wo Jama wo Suru [it will appeal to the male otakus. ha ha]
I really would like to see people dancing around in uniforms . . . even if they are girls.
-KAT-TUN - She said [OR any KAT-TUN song would please me VERY MUCH, and I'm sure it will please others too!]
I have the entrance in mind already. So that would look really hot. PLUS, if K is part of the group, he would definitely make it absolutely awesome.
*SONG suggestions are very welcome! Definitely we would like English songs!

Since there are going to be butlers/maids who are not performing, they will be left to the task of serving the guests so don't worry, you will not be left to fend for yourself.

Menu: Currently, it would be tea and snacks.
-Pocky sticks available for each table
-Tea [all sorts, or at least whatever we can find/buy - green tea FOR SURE!]
-Sandwiches [different choices of lunch meats]
-Pastries
-Quiche
-Ready made foods
*Food will be served by a butler or a maid. The butler/maid will be assigned to certain tables.
For example Maid A, B and Butler A, B will be assigned to tables 1-3. That's just a rough idea. I will organize a proper list once the venue is confirmed and I have a better idea of how many tables are available.

Menu Layout: Each maid/butler will have pads of paper. One for drinks, one for snacks, and one for the entrées. Each will be labeled with the table number. All they need is to tick off what the person orders.

As for the sponsors who are willing to donate, they will be receiving tax receipts from the charity itself.

Extra Fundraising: I do not think that a $20 nominal fee per person for 3 intervals would generate that much money. There is a question on the fundraising form of how much funds will be raised. I would say 100% of net proceeds of the event would go to the foundation. If we deduct some out-of-pocket costs[as stated on the form], that isn't a lot. SO as an extra fundraising event, we will have a raffle, and also a sale of photos.

We would need to get a volunteer photographer! First of all, taking photos with and of the maids + butlers are FREE. However, for those who have forgotten their cameras or would simply like a more professional photograph of a certain maid + butler, are able to purchase their cards! [This is why we need to find a place that is willing to donate printing services or offer us a discount on printing]

How it works:
The customer[s] is/are able to request for a photo with a certain maid/butler. There will be numbered cameras on each table. You need to fill out a simple form of stating which table you are at and how many copies of the picture you want. Depending on how many prints you want, will determine the charge.
Each print is $1.00

Picture sets:
Prior to the event, a photoshoot of the maids + butlers will occur. A sample version of these photos will be posted online [in advance] with a watermark. To purchase the cards, they could put an order on the website through pay-pal or they can print out an order form and remit it on the day of the event.
1 card - $0.70
5 cards - $3.50
10 cards - $ 6.00
These cards will be the size of post cards - hopefully! My original idea consisted of mini playing card shaped photos but perhaps that's too small?

GOING TO THE EVENT: People are able to come anytime between those stated time periods. For those who come later than expected [e.g. You have purchased a ticket for time slot 1 (starts at 11:00AM), and you come at 12:20, you will not be able to enter. I understand that you have donated money to the charity but you must also respect the fact that disruptions would ruin the event.

In summary, the doors open 30 minutes prior to 20 minutes after. In that 20 minute time span after the set time, there will only be a few maids/butlers around to help/entertain you. Therefore, if you want a picture with a certain maid/butler and he/she is not available at this time, you can always purchase their photos. I hope this encourages people to do things at a timely manner.

*Although each maid/butler is assigned to certain tables, if you wish to take a picture WITH/OF a maid/butler serving another set of tables, please inform the one serving you. He/She will pass the request on to the requested maid/butler.

Promotion: I think the best way to promote this is through the internet, especially in places where people are familiar with maid/butler cafes! I don't think we need to hire a web designer [leave it to me] so that would be one less expense. Any help from you [readers] would be greatly appreciated! Word of mouth is also a very powerful tool.

*Problem => Insurance. If you are knowledgeable about Insurance Permits, please advise! It states that they do not obtain third-party insurance so it is up to us.

And the most important thing! [Well ... at least ONE of the most important thing]
VOLUNTEERS! If you are living in the Greater Toronto Area and would like to help out in some way either through volunteering to be a maid/butler, help choreograph dances, help with AV, help with promotions, or anything else, PLEASE feel free to sign up and help us with this cause!

"Whatever" I replied without even moving a muscle.
I walked away from the BOY who just confessed to me. What's his name again? Who cares! He's not important. I turned back to see his shock pimpled otaku face, eewww >_< , I cant believe otaku boy just confessed to me, HOW DARE HE?!?! whatever. I turned around once more but not before giving him one of my EVIL looks, OHOHOHO he wont be coming back to bother me anymore.

From afar i can hear someone calling me "Beatrism", I knew who it was even without looking. Only one girl calls me that, DUH! she made it up, the so called way of life from Religion class. Trying to ignore the annoying girl, I continued walking but she stopped me **sigh** really annoying >_ >. "Oi, didn't u hear me call you?" HornyB asked with a smile on her face, sheesshhh I'm sick of seeing her face, everyday were always together, except when she skips school, thank you god for making her stupid XD. "no sorry, I was listening to Koda Kumi, what do you want? " I looked at her Hello Kitty bag, YUCK! Koga Pan is ssoo much better,

"I didn't do it" I lied, "go ask A-MAN -DUH for her homework" I laughed at my remark to this manly woman, " fine " she replied and left. What a bitch, doesn't even say anything for asking me such a stupid question. Oh well time to head to first period.

getting up from my seat and heading towards the door I started looking for one particular person. "ouch" I cried. "Oh sorry Ando-san, are you okay?" WHO THE HELL WOULD BUMP INTO ME ON PURPOSE?!?! (A/N no one would >_ >u just think so) "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TO--" speak of the devil, I looked up to see Kato Shigeaki, The smartest KID in class also class representative and the captain of the soccer team and other sports. Basically what I'm trying to say is 'HE IS THE PERFECT BOY TOY XD' "oh its just you kato","kato-san" he corrected me,"I replied with my usual "whatever". OMFG?! whats wrong with me? The god himself is talking to me and all I can say is WHATEVER?
